In Jan 2009 I gave a sermon, Fellowship with God, from 1 John 1. The messsage is that life is given to us so that we can experience God, and so that He can experience us. In good times and bad, in happy and sad, every moment is a gift of fellowship with God. God wants to experience you, and He wants you to experience Him, in every experience of life.
To illustrate fellowship I turn to Owl Moon, the classic story of a little girl and her daddy going owling in the Maine woods on a quiet, cold, snowy, moonlit night. The wordless communion between them is so intense and beautiful it brings tears to my eyes every time.
